Pre-conference and side events

This international event will highlight research topics covered within the 2017 Horizon 2020 Calls for proposals in Societal Challenge 6 Europe in a changing world – inclusive, innovative and reflective Societies.

Participants will have the possibility to participate in a matchmaking event according to the topics of the open 2017 calls of SC6. The matchmaking event will be the opportunity for the participants to join pre-arranged meetings with other participants in order to identify possible collaborators and to facilitate the setup of Horizon 2020 project consortia.

The info day in the morning will focus on the policy context, funding opportunities and the open call for proposals in order to bring valuable insights for your proposal preparation.

DANDELION thematic workshop will explore the dissemination and communication practices of Inclusive, Innovative and Reflective Societies (IIRS) projects in order to increase their uptake and valorization by citizens, policy makers, businesses and civil society.

Although research has produced important insights into current pressing societal problem, its findings do not always reach its targets in society, policy or the market.

The project DANDELION aims to enhance the uptake and valorisation of research results deriving from EU-funded projects in the field of IIRS by promoting their work and bridging the communication gap. This will be achieved through a series of innovative and creative communication activities targeted at a range of audiences.

European Alliance for Social Sciences and Humanities (EASSH) was founded to engage with policy makers to ensure that architectures, frameworks and processes for multi-national and European research programmes support the best research. EASSH also works to ensure that these programmes can create a dialogue between the social sciences and humanities research to civil society, policy makers, and practitioners to ensure influence of research in the real world.

At the conference, EASSH would love to invite members of the research community to support the Alliance purposes and aims. EASSH would also like to generate a much wider conversation about science policy which is focused on both the political agenda but also to foster and support the research communities development and commitments.
